Zac Efron takes to the surf on Bondi Beach

Zac Efron looked great as he hit the surf in Australia recently, even if he decided against having a go at the sport himself.

The star of High School Musical delighted his fans in Sydney by hitting Bondi Beach, which is world famous as being a great place to surf.

Dressed in a red wetsuit, Zac watched other people learn how to ride the waves, but decided against giving it a go for himself.

He had travelled to Australia with his girlfriend and co-star from the musical films Vanessa Hudgens to take part especially in the surf training day.

Despite the amount of female attention her was receiving, Vanessa chose not to head to the beach and waited in a nearby restaurant instead, perhaps because she already knew of his reluctance to take part in the activity.

Zac may well be donning another all-in-one costume soon if his wish to play Spiderman is granted.

He reportedly told Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O that winning the part in the new film would be a dream come true.
