Update your work wardrobe for spring 2010

With the winter finally over and the warm weather coming in, what more of an excuse do you need to hit the shops and update your work wardrobe for 2010?

Shelly Vella, fashion director at Cosmopolitan, has offered some of her style-savvy tips on what look to go for in work this summer.

Opting for a pinafore can be a cute way to bring some style to the office while still looking formal, she explained, plus it can be layered with other tops in case the weather turns cold.

Ms Vella added that a shirtdress can look equally as stylish at work, explaining that it is one of her favourite things as it is a dress and still manages to look smart.

However, she warned against opting for a cotton style that creases easily, as it might not give you the professional look that you are aiming for.

If you're looking for some new shoes to go with your outfit, InstyleUK suggests going for a pair of sturdy platform sandals, which it states will look good with a shift dress.
