Tina O'Brien 'doesn't want the stress' of getting married

Tying the knot and walking down the aisle is surely something that most young girls dream of.

However, this does not seem to be the case for former Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien.

The 25-year-old mother of one has revealed that since she gave birth to her daughter, Scarlett, all thoughts of marriage to partner Ryan Thomas have gone out of the window.

Speaking to Take 5 magazine, Tina confessed that she cannot be bothered with the stress and hassle of arranging her big day.

The actress said that "having a child is such a massive commitment that I don't feel the need to get married".

"I never dreamed about my wedding dress when I was at school - maybe I'm just not a girly girl," she added.

Although getting hitched may be some way off, settling into the role of a new mum may have come easily for the Corrie star.

She won the best storyline gong at the British Soap Awards when her character, Sarah Platt, gave birth at just 16 years old.
