Tana Ramsay crowned mum of the year

While the chance of picking up the Dancing on Ice title is nothing but a distant memory for Tana Ramsay, the star has at least won one prize.

The wife of chef Gordon Ramsay has been named as celebrity mum of the year at a dazzling awards ceremony hosted by Tesco Magazine.

Beating off competition from the likes of Natasha Kaplinsky and Pasty Palmer, Tana said that becoming a mother had been a steep learning curve for her.

This award must have made up for missing out in Dancing on Ice, after she was voted out following a performance to the ABBA classic Waterloo, with her celebrity chef husband watching in the audience.

Picking up her prize, the mum of four said that to be a good mother requires patience and being there as a friend for your child, especially as they grow older.

She added that her own mum was her role model in how to bring up her four children, who are 11, twins aged ten and eight years old.
