Sandra Bullock adopts baby

Sandra Bullock has revealed she has adopted a baby, despite looking finalise a separation from her husband Jesse James.

According to People magazine, the 45-year-old actress now has a three-and-a-half-month-old baby boy, who she has named Louis Bardo Bullock.

Speaking to the publication, the Crash star said: "He's just perfect, I can't even describe him any other way ... It's like he's always been a part of our lives."

The youngster has been living with Bullock and James since early January, following a four-year adoption process but the couple have remained tight-lipped on the subject until now.

Bullock is now filing as a single parent to the boy, as rumours broke soon after the Oscars that her husband had an affair.

At the awards ceremony, she won her first Academy Award for best actress in a lead role for her performance in The Blind Side.

During her acceptance speech, she joked whether she had really earned the prize "or did I just wear you all down".
