Robsten: We Have Had Enough Of You
I’m not into lists, but it would appear that perhaps KPatz are on their last legs and as we give a little insight into five reasons they might not make it past Valentine’s Day.For one thing, apparently 2012 is the big year of change. Everyone and anyone we know is going south as Hollywood finds itself plagued by an entire army of breakups. And these are not just the bouncy, flouncy breakups the Kardashians are famous for. Nope, Hollywood couples we thought would last forever. Can’t say I’m particularly unhappy to hear about speculations regarding Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s relationship and whether it will last. They are possibly the two most painful human beings in existence and together, they make me want to grind my teeth to dust. But, there are a couple of reasons that they could be over (real life is NOT like Twilight). Apparently, the pair haven’t been seen out in public lately, like they used to, not to mention, what happened to the public displays of affection that you expect to see from every couple? Others have argued that they’re private people, hectic schedule and so on and so forth, but we’re not buying it a bit here at OBF (it might be my prejudice speaking here, but I never professed to be objective about this whole thing). Then there’s the fact that the two don’t live together anymore. They used to, but then they upped and sold their little place and since have been living quite separately. This makes no sense. They’ve been together for so long! Why would they not want to be in a home together? They can certainly afford it and jet-setting lifestyles are definitely not an excuse. Then there are the folk who believe that this whole relationship was just a PR stunt to get Twilight more attention. I wouldn’t be against the notion, but I happen to think the pair are genuine enough in their affections for it to not be a PR stunt. Still, I’m not sure how long the relationship will last when the very common denominator of Twilight has been removed from the equation. And that has everything to do with familiarity and nothing else. It’s a bit of a recipe for disaster, but then again so is every relationship. The fact that I particularly despise those two won’t make it any less awful to hear about their breakup. Okay, it might because of that. I’d be sad for all of ten minutes before I’d move on to the next celebrity breakup, because there’s bound to be one at some point, somewhere.
