Pixie Lott picks up three Brit nominations

Pixie Lott has had an amazing start to 2010, picking up three award nominations at this year's Brits.

The teenage singer burst onto the scene last year with her number one single Mama Do and went on to top the charts again before the end of 2009.

But the blonde singer could make this year her own after she received nominations in the best British breakthrough act, best British female and best single categories.

However, she is not the only lady in with the chance of heading home with three statuettes after the ceremony as Lady Gaga, Lily Allen and Florence and the Machine have all received a trio of nominations each.

JLS kept the flag flying for the boys, picking up three nominations for best British breakthrough act, best British band and best single for their debut track Beat Again.

With acts like Kasabian and Dizzee Rascal signed up to perform on the night, the ceremony does not sound as if they will be as much fun as the upcoming National Television Awards. Jedward have been announced as one of the acts due to entertain guests at the ceremony.
