OC Star Mischa Barton Drinking Since 14

The latest celebrity news that has surfaced which is quite alarming is that the OC star Mischa Barton has been into the habit of drinking since she was in her early tens. As her stylist has recently claimed the 22 year old talented actor has been drinking since she was just a 14 year old teenager. Thanks to her continued habit, the situation worsened to the extreme and Mischa was admitted under psychiatric hold on the 15 of July after she suffered a reported melt down. She checked out from the Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday, the 27th of July. Mischa’s stylist Stacey Kives iinformed the Heat magazine, “She was on the path to self-destruction - it was just a question of when she was going to be ready to do something about it. Mischa has been drinking since she was about 14, and she doesn’t drink to have fun any more – she drinks not to feel anything. But I think this last episode has scared her straight. She finally sounds like she’s seeing reality. Mischa’s finally willing to get some help. She was partying so hard before. Whenever a close friend would say, ‘Mischa, I’m worried about you,’ she would distance herself. It was just a matter of time before she hit rock bottom. Now she wants her friends and family around her. It’s a good sign.” It looks like Mischa has finally recognized her priorities and is trailing the right path back to a normal and sane life. Now that she is still so young and so talented the audiences surely want to see her do a lot of good work and culture her gift of acting to an apex.
