Miley Cyrus tops up tan... in Blackpool

Catching some rays in Blackpool is never easy at any time of year, let alone in December. But Miley Cyrus has found a way to get that year round glow... by heading to the tanning shop.

Clearly eager to avoid any tell-tale fake tan streaks, the 17-year-old singer headed to a local salon to make sure she looked her best before her Royal Variety Show performance in the seaside town. And who can blame her, it's not every day you get to sing for the Queen.

Wearing a leopard print fur coat, she looked every inch the star as she headed for a session on the sun beds, near to the Hilton hotel where she is staying, in photos published by the Daily Mail.

Last week, the newspaper printed pictures of Miley soaking up some real sunshine while on holiday with friends in Miami. Looking fantastic in a pink bikini, she showed off her new tattoo, the words 'Just Breathe' inked onto her rib cage.
