Michael Buble announces he is to marry

Michael Buble has announced he has become engaged to his girlfriend, a 22-year-old Argentinean actress.

Women all over the world are sure to be sobbing into their tissues at the news, after a spokesman for Michael admitted that he popped the question to Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre two months ago.

It is reported that Michael designed the ring for his bride-to-be himself, which he bought from Canadian jewellers Minichiello.

The star of South American soap opera Atraccion x 4, Luisana will be recognisable to Michael's fans as the girl he falls for in the video to his hit single I Just Haven't Met You Yet.

It is the second time Michael has got down on one knee, after he proposed to actress and singer Debbie Timuss.

It is already a busy year for celebrities announcing they are to tie the knot. Robbie Williams confirmed earlier this month that he is set to walk down the aisle with his girlfriend, the American actress Ayda Field.
