Lady Gaga meets the Queen
Lady Gaga's reputation as something of a fashion maverick has been further boosted after the singer sported one of her craziest outfits yet to entertain the Queen. The Poker Face singer was one of just many music and TV stars to take to the stage in Blackpool for this year's Royal Variety event.
However, the American stole the entire show as she performed in a red latex number seemingly based on the look of Queen Elizabeth I, the Daily Mail noted.
Not only was her costume outlandish, but Lady Gaga also pulled off a move even some of the Diversity boys could have trouble recreating, as she was hoisted 30-feet into the air to perform her song Speechless on a piano supported by giant Salvador Dali-inspired legs.
Despite her usual over-the-top show, Gaga stuck with tradition and toned down her outfit and was on her best behaviour as the night's performers - who also included Alexandra Burke and Miley Cyrus - met the Queen backstage.
Meanwhile, Rihanna has become the latest star to gush praise on Lady Gaga, telling MTV that she is an "awesome and original" artist.
