Keira Knightley wears an unusual outfit to awards show

Keira Knightly normally receives plenty of attention from photographers for the amazing designer creations she wears on the red carpet.

But the Pirates of the Caribbean star was attracting just as much notice when she arrived at a lunch in honour of the upcoming Laurence Olivier Awards, where she is nominated for best actress in a supporting role.

Despite being very demurely dressed in a flowing blouse and a fitted pencil skirt, her outfit was covered with the unusual patterns of scantily-clad women and cute puppies.

Topping off her outfit with a pair of high heels and a shoulder bag, at first glance Keira looked as if she had arrived at the star-studded event straight from the office until a closer inspection was made of her ensemble.

At least her costume was a little more successful than a recently choice by Leighton Meester, who was spotted falling out of her shoes on the set of Gossip Girl.

Other stars at the event included Mel C, who is nominated for best actress in a musical for her role in Blood Brothers and Patina Miller, who is wowing crowds with her role in Sister Act.
