Jeward's single may miss the number one spot
Jedward are used to things coming in twos, but the singers may be disappointed that their debut single looks set to chart in second place. The Irish twins released their debut single, a cover of the Queen hit Under Pressure, on Monday. But judging by the mid-week sales, the boy's fans do not think the track has the X Factor.
Even the presence of 90s rapper Vanilla Ice does not seem to be giving the Grimes brothers a much needed boost to the top spot.
Instead, it looks like American singer Owl City's melodic track Fireflies will hold on to pole position for a second week.
But John and Edward do not need to get too upset just yet. After missing out on the Christmas number one, Joe McElderry's single The Climb went to the top of the charts a week after it was released, giving the Geordie singer the hit he had long dreamed of.
