Jedward performance 'survives stage invasion' from Calvin Harris

Jedward mania is sweeping the UK and it seems as though electro pop star Calvin Harris is keen to get in on the action.

During John and Edward's performance on Saturday night's X Factor, the musician leapt on to the stage holding a pineapple to his head.

He had been due to appear on the Xtra Factor after the live show, but bosses then made the decision to boot him off after his fruity stunt.

The twins, who are slowly winning over the hearts of the nation, performed Under Pressure and were praised by their mentor and judge Louis Walsh for staying professional during Calvin's stage invasion.

In their shiny silver suits and sporting their trademark blonde quiffs, the twins jumped and strutted around in what Simon Cowell dubbed their best performance yet.

"I have to judge you in Jedward land and if I'm there, that has to be your best performance," he said.

This week's X Factor also saw all of the finalists reunite to perform the show's charity single for Great Ormond Street – a cover of Michael Jackson's You Are Not Alone.
