Jaden Smith makes a smashing Karate Kid

Jaden Smith may only be 11 years old, but he already looks set to follow in his famous father's footsteps into the world of movies.

The son of Will Smith, little Jaden is to make his first starring role in a remake of the 1980s classic film the Karate Kid.

Starring opposite kung-fu expert Jackie Chan, it is the second time that Jaden has appeared on the big screen, after he acted with his dad in the movie In Pursuit of Happyness.

The talent youngster is shown in the movie's trailer performing high-energy punches and kicks on the Great Wall of China, with his mentor Mr Han looking on.

But I bet Jaden's hoping his parents manage not to embarrass him on the red carpet at the film's premiere. Last month, Will and his wife Jada had a very public display of affection when they kissed on a Norwegian talk show.
