Is X Factor's Lucie Jones the next top model?

Lucie Jones is to be signed up by a top modelling agency after her X Factor appearances.

Despite losing out in the TV talent show in a showdown with twins John and Edward, the pretty Welsh teenager looks set to take on the fashion world, after being signed up by Select Model Management.

One of the biggest modelling agencies in the UK, Select represents some of Britain's most famous models, including fashion magazine favourite Agyness Deyn.

Co-founder of the agency Chrissie Castagnetti said: "As soon as we saw Lucie, we recognised she had a great look."

She will have a professional photo shoot in the new year, so the agency can begin transforming the singer into the UK's newest catwalk queen.

This year, it was Geordie singer Joe McElderry who walked off with the X Factor crown and a record deal, having beaten Olly Murs in an explosive final, which saw amazing performances from musical legends Sir Paul McCartney and George Michael.
