Is Mel B to join X Factor?

Mel B may be set to give her opinions of the X Factor hopefuls this year, as rumours fly that she is to become a judge.

The former Spice Girl certainly knows a thing or two about performing on stage and her famously outspoken character may give the panel a real boost.

However, discussing the matter with Hello magazine, the singer did not confirm that she will be joining the line-up for the new series, but said that she has spoken with Simon Cowell.

Signing up for the X Factor job would mean a change of location for Mel, as she currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, film producer Stephen Belafonte and their children.

It is thought that if the singer, formerly known as Scary Spice, joined the judges she would replace Australian Dannii Minogue. Dannii is thought to be keen to re-launch her pop career following the chart-topping success of Cheryl Cole.
