Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It's Beyonce!

Beyonce Knowles' fans got the chance to get up close and personal with their idol earlier this week, as the Single Ladies singer took to the skies at a concert in London.

The former Destiny's Child star leapt from the stage and went crowd surfing during the finale of her gig.

During a performance of Halo, she jumped into the throng and fans lifted her above their heads.

Oh yeah, she managed to do it while wearing only a sparkly hot pants body suit and also kept hold of her microphone so she could sing live while skimming the crowds.

She was carried all around the venue before being returned to the podium in order to finish up her song.

Beyonce's sister Solange said that she was very proud of her sibling on her Twitter account, asking: "How many pop stars do you know crowd surfin' in heels & still hitting perfect notes?"
