I'm A Celebrity's popularity drops after Katie Price exit

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has seen its ratings drop following glamour girl Katie Price's walkout earlier this week, it has emerged.

Price, who recently divorced Peter Andre and this week broke up with cagefighter boyfriend Alex Reid live on air, had to endure several horrid challenges while she was on the show, but eventually decided could not stand it and walked out.

The ITV series had been pulling in audiences of up to ten million while she was in the competition, with 9.5 million viewers watching her final appearance on Monday night's episode, in which the 31-year-old broke up with Reid.

But with the love/hate figure gone, people appear to have lost interest, since ratings dropped by more than 20 per cent to 7.8 million for Tuesday's show.

Price's reality TV show What Katie Did Next has been recommissioned by ITV2 for a new eight-part series.
