Harry Potter Premiere

The world premiere of Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince was screened in London’s Leicester Square last night. Thousands of fans braved the rain and hail as it left pools of water on the red carpet to catch a peek at the young cast.
The death of Rob Knox who played the character of Marcus Belby was marked by white ribbons on the characters wrists. Knox, 18, was stabbed to death outside a bar in south east London days after completing the film. Knox was protecting his younger brother from an attack. The man responsibly, Karl Bishop received four life sentences in March. Bishop had a previous conviction for a knife attack on two men.
The new film sees Lord Voldermort cause havoc as and Hogwarts is no longer as safe as it once was. Harry and Professor Dumbledore work together to fight the dark Lord. Emma Watson 19 (Hermione) stole the show with a vintage dress designed by Ossie Clark and Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint wore suits. Emma Watson has recently become the new face of the British fashion range Burberry and commented that she loved fashion, but that becoming a new fashion icon was surprising.
Rupert Grint who plays Ron had been recovering from Swine Flu but luckily managed to recover for the premiere. Grint commented that the new film has a lot of romance in Emma Watson added that it was strange as Rupert is like a brother to her.
Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince is released in general cinemas on Wednesday.
