Girls Aloud 'boost fake eyelash sales'
If Girls Aloud start a fashion trend, who are we to argue with it? So, when the fabulous fivesome launched their range of false eyelashes with Eyelure this year, it was always set to be a big hit.
With everyone from Lady Gaga to supermodel Agyness Deyn sporting fluttery lashes, it was not going to be long before girls everywhere wanted to get the wide-eyed look themselves.
Every year, girls in the UK shell out £10 million on giving their lashes a makeover, according to Superdrug.
Jenni Middleton, editor of Professional Beauty magazine, said strip lashes are an easy way to add extra glamour or just enhance the lashes you already have.
But, it's not just fake eyelashes that go into making Girls Aloud into the glamour queens we know and love. Cheryl Cole recently posted a photo on her Twitter account from her X Factor dressing room, which showed an industrial sized box of make up and hairspray on her dressing table.
