EastEnders' Stacey Slater revealed as Archie Mitchell's killer

Stacey Slater was dramatically revealed as the murderer of EastEnders' villain Archie Mitchell in a special live episode.

But the shocks did not stop there for fans of the troubled stall holder, who then watched in horror as her new husband Bradley Branning fell to his death from the roof of the Queen Vic pub.

The police had suspected Bradley was guilty of the crime, but Stacey confessed to her father-in-law Max that it was she who hit Archie over the head with the Queen Victoria bust on Christmas Day.

Even the actors were left guessing who the killer was until just 30 minutes before the show began and ten different endings had been rehearsed to stop the secret from leaking out.

All of the scenes were broadcast live as part of a special 25th anniversary episode of the soap, with Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey, almost not appearing as she was ill with the flu.
