EastEnders' Archie Mitchell killer to be revealed

Fans of EastEnders will be on the edge of their seats tonight in anticipation if finding out who killed Archie Mitchell.

Following his murder on Christmas Day, when the nasty character was whacked over the head with the Queen Vic bust, viewers have been left guessing who the culprit is.

And since Archie, played by Larry Lamb, had made many enemies on Albert Square, there were plenty of people to choose from.

But tonight's episode will see the wait come to an end in a special live edition of the show to mark its 25th year on our screens.

It seems that the viewers have not been the only ones to scratching their heads over who the Square's murderer is, as even the cast will not be told until 30 minutes before the show begins.

Soap fanatics were left feeling even more confused when Larry was photographed at the filming of the character's funeral, prompting rumours that he was to come back from the dead.

But it turned out the actor was just taking the opportunity to catch up with some of his castmates.
