Does Cheryl Cole's marriage still have the X Factor?

Everything seems rosy in the life of Geordie lass Cheryl Cole.

Dubbed the nation's sweetheart, she has been catapulted to fame with Girls Aloud and is not one of the most famous faces in the UK, fronting various ad campaigns and of course, judging the X Factor.

But it seems as though there could be trouble in paradise as she was seen without her wedding ring during last weekend's shows.

Cheryl spends weeks planning her X Factor outfits – right down to the type of nail varnish she wears – and it seems as though there was no place for the £16,000 sparkler in her recent attire.

This has now fuelled speculation that her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole could be on the rocks.

Cracks between the two first emerged when it was revealed that the Chelsea defender allegedly had an affair with single mother Aimee Walton almost two years ago.

Cheryl recently enjoyed great success with her first solo assault on the pop charts when both her single - Fight For This Love - and debut album went to number one.
