Diana Vickers looks set for number 1

While many people who take part in the X Factor do not go on to have success after the show has ended, it seems as if Diana Vickers may buck the trend.
The singer, who took part in the series won by Alexandra Burke, seems to be on track to have the UK's number one single this week.
Famous for singing barefoot and making a claw action with her hand when she performs, it seems that Diana will soon be able to boast that she has been top of the pops with her debut single Once.
Although it is over a year since she left the show, she has not been wasting her time, as she has already recorded her debut album Songs from the Tainted Cherry Tree and performed in the show Little Voice.
The 18-year-old also recently told the Daily Star that although she is not best friends with her mentor Cheryl Cole she does keep in touch with her and would be happy to step into Nadine Coyle's shoes if the rumours that she is to leave Girls Aloud are true.
