Coronation Street set for deadly factory fire

Coronation Street looks set for one of its most gripping storylines ever, as a huge blaze started by Tony Gordon is set to engulf the factory.

According to reports in the Sun, two characters will be killed off in the fire started by the escaped convict, who is back on the street to get revenge against the people who helped to put him behind bars.

Tony, played by Gray O'Brien, will take former love Carla and Roy Cropper's wife Hayley hostage in the Underworld factory.

Maria is also taken prisoner when she accidentally gets involved in the siege, while Becky McDonald and Roy Cropper could also be fatally injured as they attempt to carry out a rescue.

Fans of the soap may already be aware that Tony is set to make a dramatic escape from prison after faking a heart attack and being driven off by an armed motorcyclist when he escapes from an ambulance.
