Coronation Street's Gail is Tracy Barlow's cellmate

Things do not look like they could get much worse for Gail McIntyre on Coronation Street, until she is put in the same cell as Tracy Barlow.

Gail, who has been held by police on suspicion of murdering her husband Joe when he actually died during an insurance scam, is put in the same cell as the convicted killer.

But it is not a coincidence, as Tracy has made a deal with the police to get out of jail early if she can encourage Gail to confess to the crime.

The convicted killer wants to get out of prison to ruin the family life of her ex-husband Steve and his new wife Becky, who are currently planning to adopt a child after Becky found out she could not have children.

This is only one of several dramatic storylines that are coming up in the Manchester-based soap, as viewers are soon to see Tony Gordon make a daring prison break and set fire to the factory on the famous cobbled street.
