Copy stars for fashionable burlesque makeup style

The current trend for burlesque inspired makeup is an easy one to follow, according to one fashion expert.

Sue Moxley, who has worked with many top stars and has fans including the Sugababes and Alesha Dixon, wrote in the Sun that opaque and heavy foundations are needed to give the skin a flawless base.

Next, to get the glamorous eyes sported by the likes of Paloma Faith, brows should be carefully shaped and liquid liner is needed across the lids to give the distinctive flick look. Several coats of black mascara should be applied next, with Sue adding that some false lashes can bring drama.

A matte lipstick is needed to complete the look made popular by stars like Dita Von Teese, but only in a bright red hue. She suggests using a brush to apply the colour and dust the lips with a loose foundation before applying a second coat.

Finally, a pale blusher is needed to complete the look, give an attractive glow and have you looking like a classic Hollywood siren this season.
