Bruce Forsyth to miss Strictly 'for the first time ever'
For the first time ever, Bruce Forsyth will not be presenting Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday. The 81-year old entertainer, known for striking that famous pose as he walks on stage, is battling a bad bout of flu.
As a result, he is unable to present the ballroom dancing extravaganza and is said to be resting up on doctor's orders.
His side-kick Tess Daly will appear as usual, talking to the nervous celebs as they sashay around the dance floor and foxtrot around the room.
A spokesperson said: "Unfortunately, due to a bout of the flu and on doctor's orders, Bruce will be unable to host Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday. However, Tess Daly will be stepping into his presenting shoes."
Bruce is a much-loved British entertainer and has hosted shows such as the Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right and the Price is Right.
The remaining contestants on this year's Strictly Come Dancing include Natalie Cassidy and Ricky Whittle.
