Ben Shephard falls while trying Dancing on Ice
Ben Shephard may be considering staying on the sofa after a disastrous attempt at ice skating. The GMTV host took to the ice with Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean after being challenged by his Dancing on Ice Friday co-host Coleen Nolan.
But his hopes of being the show's next big skating star soon crashed around him as he fell over and had to crawl off the ice.
Speaking to the Sun, the 35-year-old said: "Luckily I escaped without serious injury apart from knocks to my pride."
The full footage of Ben's attempts to skate with the Olympic gold medallists will be shown on the March 5th edition of the programme.
Things are starting to hot up in the race to be crowned the Dancing on Ice 2010 champion as the contest enters into its final weeks, although some stars are more serious about their training than others.
While some of the men have taken up ballet to improve their posture, Mikey Graham has admitted he is still tucking into curry and a beer after he finishes his rehearsals.
