Ant and Dec take home NTA awards

Ant and Dec were named the UK's favourite TV presenters last night at the National Television Awards.

Picking up the prize for most popular entertainment programme for their show Saturday Night Takeaway, the duo looked shocked that the show was still proving to be so popular when it was up against programmes like I'm a Celebrity...Get Me out of Here!, which the duo also host.

They then went on to win one of the night's top awards when they were named the best entertainment presenters at the show hosted by Dermot O'Leary.

Dermot got to enjoy the limelight himself, when X Factor was named most popular talent show, with Simon Cowell urging him to join the show's judges as they accepted their prize.

But the biggest surprise of the ceremony surely came when X Factor contestants John and Edward took to the stage to perform their debut single, a cover of Under Pressure.

Halfway through their act they were joined on stage by rapper Vanilla Ice, who performed part of his track Ice Ice Baby, which samples the Queen classic.
