Alfie Moon and Kat Slater to make EastEnders comeback

Alfie Moon and Kat Slater are set to make a comeback to EastEnders, it has been revealed.

The soap couple, who left the show on Christmas Day in 2005, will be back on our screens again at the end of the year.

Fans of the programme are no doubt excited that former Queen Vic owner Alfie, played by Shane Richie, will be heading back to Albert Square.

Jessie Wallace, who plays the feisty Kat Slater, said: "I am excited to slip back into Kat Slater's stilettos. I've missed her."

It will be a welcome return to the soap for the pair, who had some explosive storylines during their time on the London-based show, including when Kat dramatically revealed to her sister Zoe, played by Michelle Ryan, that she was actually her mum.

Kat's return to the soap will no doubt be good news for her on-screen dad Charlie Slater. He may well need cheering up soon as actor Derek Martin requires knee surgery and the operation needs to be written into the storyline.
