A Look Back at Michael Jackson

A look back at Michael Jackson’s life paints a picture of accusations, debt and gossip. With his ever changing appearance he managed to break conventional stereotypes. Despite this, few could argue that Michael was an incredibly talented individual.
From the word go when appearing in the Jackson 5, Michael held the audience captive and began to attract the huge fan base of all ages and walks of life that he has today. After such a sudden death questions are still asked as to how the King of Pop fell from grace through the media, the public trial and his questionable antics.Michael lost respect from friends and fans alike, for wearing pyjamas whilst on trial, dangling his child off the balcony and jumping on the roof of his car outside the courthouse.
A child star who would later become a star in his own right, his journey robbed him of a normal childhood. The success of Thriller came with a change of his body and a string of eccentricities. Through the 80s his fans copied his dance moves and style, willing to adore the man that gave them phenomenal hits such as ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Beat It’ and Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,
Jackson had a pet chimpanzee called Bubbles and reportedly bought the bones of The Elephant Man. This turned out to be false, but from the news stories Jackson was given the name ‘Wacko Jacko’. After the sexual abuse accusations in 1993 Michael Jackson was never to look the same in the public eye. Despite this colourful past, he has given beautiful lyrics, songs and performances that will be remembered throughout history.
Michael Jackson will never be forgotten.
